In April 1914, it was
reported that Mr. & Mrs. Charles Henze returned from their winter home
in Chicago and were preparing to open their hotel for the season.
In April 1917, it
was announced that Mr. Henze would not be opening Hannover Villa that
season. There was an ad in the newspaper in May 1919 that announced
the sale of furniture and other household items from Hannover Villa.
In June 1920, it was
reported that Mr. Henze had traded the Hannover Villa for property in
St. Louis, Missouri. There was no further mention of Hannover Villa
after this time.
The
following poem was penned by Hannover Villa resorters and appeared in
September 1915.
